What are IPC4SD National Symposiums and SDG Awards Exquisite Banquets?
In January 2023, IPC4SD launched a campaign, to celebrate, acknowledge and recognize individuals and institutions both state and non-state actors whose work adds value to the achievement of SDGs in specific countries globally. This campaign is being launched in Uganda leveraging the 2023 International Women’s Day which was held on the 8th of March 2023. Due to conflicting programs in preparation for Uganda National International Women’s Day by the Government of Uganda held in Kiruhura District, the IPC4SD National Symposium and SDG Awards Exquisite Banquet was postponed to 12th to 14th May 2023 coinciding with International Mother’s Day Celebrations
The International Policy Center for Sustainable Development (IPC4SD) is excited to announce the 2023 Uganda National Women’s Symposium and SDG Exquisite Banquet (UNAWOSEBA) being organized in partnership with Uganda National Entrepreneurship Development Institute (UNEDI) and the SDG Secretariat office of the prime minister of the republic of Uganda. The UNAWOSEBA 2023 will occur annually as IPC4SD Uganda’s premier event to reflect on and discuss the catalytic interventions being undertaken by women in the tripartite sectors, (government, civil society, and the business community) towards the advancement of SDG1, SDG2, and SDG 9 in relation to gender equality and women empowerment. Furthermore, the event is expected to stimulate debate and identify gaps that need to be addressed to Leave No One Behind especially women and girls. It will also be an opportune moment to celebrate SDGs women icons and champions in relation to the theme. During the symposium and Exquisite SDG award Banquet, sustainable development ecosystem experts and practitioners from public, private, and non-profit sectors will address a broad spectrum of issues related to development challenges of unlocking the SDG1, 2, and 9 and identify solutions. The IPC4SD -UNAWOSEB 2023 will be a hybrid (online/in-person) event and it is for the first being hosted at WIN 5 Hotels and Spa in Kampala, Uganda. This year’s theme is “Women at The Frontline of Accelerating SDGs”

Support a Ugandan rural woman to showcase their innovation at Uganda Women’s Symposium & SDG Awards Exquisite Banquet 2023
We are hosting over 70 women-led initiatives and institutions in an exclusive carefully crafted symposium and Awards SDG Exquisite Banquet on Mother’s Day 14th May 2023 at Hotel Africana. This power-packed event will draw over 600 guests featuring Women identified as playing a leading role or contributing to Women’s empowerment thus resulting in the advancement of SDGs in Uganda. During the Banquet, over 20 SDG Awards from different sectors will be awarded to competitive individuals and institutions

- The Sponsored Initiative will receive an exhibition table at the city square from May 12th to 14th to showcase their work for three days
- 10 Participants from the sponsored initiative will attend the SDG Exquisite Banquet on 14th May at WIN 5 Hotel and SPA
